I completely understand your struggle; it's unfortunate but I think just making the effort to overcome it is huge. We should all feel beautiful because our physical appearance is just a small proponent of who we are. Forget what you're gonna be wearing in three months, you're going to be in Miami! Ahh, so jealous!! :) P.S. You are beautiful!Krissy Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17827850881568422217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3780970143467399586.post-29578303820146094482012-01-20T08:37:07.332-08:002012-01-20T08:37:07.332-08:00Ohh,I'm so glad you enjoyed the F bomb :) I de...Ohh,I'm so glad you enjoyed the F bomb :) I debated keeping it in because I felt this was such an important post to write, I wanted to do it justice and thought maybe the F bomb might be a little too much. I haven't seen the whole movie yet, just the extended trailer, and it's already changed my life. Can't wait to see the whole thing! I believe if women start individually changing the way they should be viewed, then the world has no other choice than to follow suit. Glad to see there are beautiful women already making changes! :)Krissy Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17827850881568422217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3780970143467399586.post-83326756837769303082012-01-19T19:07:38.558-08:002012-01-19T19:07:38.558-08:00Great post! Just today I posted on Facebook about a trip I will be taking with my hubby to Miami in 3 months and how I dread putting on a bathing suit. Several sweet friends commented telling me that I am beautiful and shouldn't worry about things like that. Even worse - I have THREE daughters and, though I struggle with my self-image, I so desperately want them to see how beautiful they are despite what media portrays. Sometimes I feel so hypocritical - telling them they are so beautiful, but not seeing the same in myself. It is a struggle I think all women face and one that we all need to support each other on more often!Lisa W..http://www.thegoldenspoons.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3780970143467399586.post-12296767165010983422012-01-19T18:00:33.460-08:002012-01-19T18:00:33.460-08:00This post is SO inspiring. I agree with everything you said in this post and am proud to know that there are women just like me out there. The film Miss Representation changed me for life and I will do whatever it takes to help change the ideologies that the media has spoon fed us for so many years. Its a hard job but somebody has got to do it! Keep it up!Elisabeth Hopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16723708491609349491noreply@blogger.com
